Still not as widely used as v5.A list with almost all CATIA V6 Shortcuts. I believe CATIA v6 & Enovia have now been rebranded as 3DX or 3Dexperience. So now when a new version is prepared, it's available as either v5 or v6. Eventually, to make this sort of thing easier on themselves, they merged the codebases, and synchronized the releases. New feature? They'd add it to one, and port it to the other. This wasn't palatable to many users, so they stuck with v5. (You can export various types of files into Windows, but not the native CATIA models.) If you're using v6, you have to use the Enovia PDM database to manage your models no other option.

Completely new interface, running on different hardware (Windows PC's vs various flavors of unix.) It got widely adopted in certain industries. CATIA v5 was a brand new program not an evolution of v4. I think I can explain what happened here.
