The Sabre Voice Online Newspaper Staff consists of current Marian University students. We also pay semester dues and have a GPA requirement of 2.5. We have been at Marian University for 20 years and want to continue to grow our sisterhood and help wonderful new women join our organization.Īny undergraduate female student is welcome to participate in our recruitment events throughout the school year to gain membership. Alpha Xi Delta participates at the Ronald McDonald House and the Boys and Girls Club.Īlpha Xi Delta is a sorority that inspires women to realize their potential by providing opportunities for sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service. Alpha Xi Delta’s national philanthropy is Autism Speaks and the chapter is actively involved in the Fond du Lac community. The sisters of the Theta Tau chapter have close bonds and enjoy a lifelong sisterhood. Alpha Xi Delta offers unique opportunities for personal development through participation in local and national activities. The Theta Tau chapter, originally known as the local sorority Alpha Sigma Delta, has been active on campus since the winter of 1993. Alpha Xi Delta was established as a chapter at Marian University in November 1995. Who can join? Anyone who loves to help students succeed!Īlpha Xi Delta, a national Panhellenic sorority, helps women realize their potential. We talk about information going on in schools, hear from various speakers in the school system or with experience, and do fun activities that can be done in the classroom. We are the organization on campus made up of students who are dedicated to helping students to grow, develop, and succeed academically and in their lives.

Professional activities include conferences and workshops, speakers, tutoring opportunities and participation in observing American Education Week. The goals of MSEA are: (1) to influence the conditions under which prospective teachers are prepared, thus promoting maximum professional competence (2) to examine the present and future conditions that confront students preparing to teach (3) to develop an understanding and appreciation for the education profession (4) to stimulate the highest ideals of professional ethics, standards, attitudes, and training and (5) to provide a national, state, and local voice in education for students enrolled in educational programs. Affiliated with national, state, and local education associations, MSEA provides interaction with educational programs and provides many opportunities to work with children and come to understand the education system. On her podcast In Writing with Hattie Crisell, she discusses the writing process with guests that have included Curtis Sittenfeld, Jon Ronson, Wendy Cope and Charlie Brooker, as well as Times writers Hugo Rifkind, Andrew Billen and Sathnam Sanghera.All education majors are encouraged to join MSEA.

The news series of Between Ourselves starts on February 18 at 6.30pm for 4 parts. Since the start of the year, Marian has been chair of judges for the Comedy Women in Print prize, and her BBC Radio 4 series Between Ourselves became an instant success.
